Begin with constraints

A logline becomes executable only after duration, frame, characters, narrative intent and turning points are explicit. Early constraints make later model spend more predictable.

Six stages, one loop

Each stage needs a clear input, deliverable and approval.

  • Shape the story and scenes
  • Approve character and visual versions
  • Edit shot briefs and continuity
  • Generate or import keyframes and video
  • Review with AI and decide what to fix
  • Rough cut, sound and export

Treat 45 seconds as a production cycle

Forty-five seconds can contain conflict, a turn and a result—enough to expose continuity failures while remaining small enough for a first iteration.

Six to ten shots is a useful constraint: validate purpose, then keyframe, then video.

Humans decide, agents advance

Agents should maintain context, surface problems and prepare the next action. Direction, model spend and version approval remain human decisions.

Define done before you start

Write the delivery standard before generation. A publishable vertical short may need clear story beats, recognizable characters, valid motion, readable audio and no fatal visual artifacts—not perfection in every frame.
